WHAT IS LOW DRAW PROJECTS?
When I find something I like, I become completely obsessed with everything involved with and surrounding it: fashion, art, music, objects, lifestyle, history. I can’t help but fully commit to the subject of my interest, immersing myself in the culture and using it as means of self-expression.
It all started with skateboarding. I fell in love not just with the act, but with the entire world that came with it — the creativity, the visual language, the DIY, the raw energy, the acceptance of imperfection. Skateboarding taught me things that have become integral to who I am as a person, leading me down the path of pursuing art, woodworking and leathercraft professionally.
After 20-odd years of skating, creating, and obsessing, I found myself pulled back into an old love: golf. I hadn’t touched a club since skipping high school classes to sneak in weekday rounds, but once I returned, the same all-consuming obsession hit. I needed to surround myself with my version of the game. The mainstream aesthetics — the gear, fashion, accessories — just quite didn’t resonate, so I started making my own.
Low Draw Projects is the result of that journey. It’s the umbrella for everything I create — handmade golf-inspired objects, accessories, and art, all filtered through my background in skateboarding, punk, hardcore, and DIY culture.
My name is Josh, and I am the person behind Low Draw Projects.
Welcome.
